Contact form now working

by brunofig 4. September 2008 02:16
It seems that the email system for the blog wasn't working. I'm using the smtp from google and it seems that one of the available ports is throwing timeouts, so all of you that tried to reach me using the contact form did not succeed. Sorry.

Welcome to BlogEngine.NET 1.3

by Bruno Figueiredo 22. December 2007 09:00

If you see this post it means that BlogEngine.NET 1.3 is running and the hard part of creating your own blog is done. There is only one thing you need to do from this point on to take full advantage of the blog and that is to set up the first author profile.

Write Permissions

To be able to log in to the blog and writing posts, you need to enable write permissions on the App_Data folder. If you’re blog is hosted at a hosting provider, you can either log into your account’s admin page or call the support. You need write permissions on the App_Data folder because all posts and comments are saved as XML files and placed in the App_Data folder.

Username and password

When you've got write permissions to the App_Data folder, you need to change the username and password. Find the sign-in link located either at the bottom or top of the page depending on your current theme and click it. Now enter "admin" in both the username and password fields and click the button. You will now see an admin menu appear. It has a link to the "Users" admin page. From there you can change the username and password.

On the web

You can find BlogEngine.NET on the official website. Here you'll find tutorials, documentation, tips and tricks and much more. The ongoing development of BlogEngine.NET can be followed at CodePlex where the daily builds will be published for anyone to download.

Good luck and happy writing.

As musicas de antigamente!

by brunofig 26. September 2006 21:47

Hoje dei por mim a ouvir uma música cujo título é “I want it all” ou algo do género. I want it all... i want it all… and I want it now”.

Agora expliquem-me isto...

by brunofig 26. September 2006 01:47

(Homens, aprendam! Mulheres, digam lá que não é verdade?)

Um must.

A Dream came true...

by brunofig 26. September 2006 00:20

It seems like some one is just driving an airplane. The reality is that some one is driving an airplane model from the ground using video googles and a webcam on the airplane model. Sweet...

We Are Morons: a quick look at the Win2k source

by brunofig 26. September 2006 00:05

Well, some one had the time to look at code of thr win 2k. And found some "nice" comments on the code. eheheh:

"IF YOU CHANGE TABS TO SPACES, YOU WILL BE KILLED"

or

"

// The specific idiot in this case is Office95, which likes
// to free a random pointer when you start Word95 from a desktop
// shortcut.

"

or even

"* The magnitude of this hack compares favorably with that of the national debt."

Piada Informática

by brunofig 22. September 2006 21:54
